My name is Kevin Hunter. I graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and a Minor in Biology. Since Graduating I have worked in an Environmental Microbiology Lab, Diagnostic Medical Lab and a Clinical Lab.
At the Environmental Microbiology Lab, I tested regulated and recreational water samples for coliforms, tested food products for microbiological contaminants and specialized in Legionella isolation and identification.
At the Diagnostic Medical Lab, I used qPCR and Isothermal Amplification (Nicking Enzyme Amplification Reaction) to detect viruses in patient samples.
At the Clinical Lab, I practiced as an Andrologist, where I worked alongside a team of medical professionals in the specialty of Reproductive Science.
